
The Castle Garden Quilt Series is the perfect class for beginners who want to build their quilting skills while working through a full quilt project step-by-step. Instructor Marcy will guide you through her efficient short-hand pattern method, precise cutting techniques, and thoughtful piecing strategies—helping you gain confidence from the first cut to the final stitch!
Bring snacks, stay hydrated, and be ready to have fun! This multi-session workshop is hands-on and supportive, making it ideal for those new to quilting or looking to refine their skills with expert guidance.
Class Schedule:
- Class 1 – Tuesday 4/8, 1:00pm - 5:00pm: Focused on cutting. Bring rotary cutter, mat, and 6x12 / 6x24 rulers. The goal is to finish all cutting in class.
- Class 2 – Tuesday 4/15, 1:00pm - 5:00pm: Piecing your “units.” Bring sewing machine, 1/4" foot, gray thread, extra needles, pins, and seam ripper. A small wool mat and iron are helpful.
- Class 3 – Tuesday 4/22, 1:00pm - 5:00pm: Assembling your units into blocks.
- Class 4 – Tuesday 4/29, 1:00pm - 5:00pm: Final quilt assembly.
- Optional Class 5 – Tuesday 5/6, 1:00pm - 5:00pm: An extra session in case you need more time or just want to enjoy more stitching!
